Is the Show Yellowstone Real? - Ask Vinny

Dear Vinny –

Have you watched the show Yellowstone? Do you feel like more people are moving to Montana because of the show? The show never shows winter. Do you have winter in Montana?

- Hollywood is confusing

Dear Hollywood,

Judging by the number of clients asking me if I watch Yellowstone, I am fairly certain the show has moved the needle for some folks on the fence about whether they wanted to purchase a piece of Montana. I have been a big fan of Costner from a young age, but most of the stuff you see on Yellowstone is far from reality. Montana does have a few train stations but not the type you drop dead people off at. We have moral law enforcement and judges that don’t play politics, and there are no Native American Reservations or the Dutton Ranch within 100 miles of Paradise Valley. However, we have grizzly bears, rattlesnakes, extensive mountain views, plenty of water, and LONG Winters.
